Our Story

History

Remembering Clement

The Haynsworth family came to understand how fragile life can be after losing their son, Clement, at just 24 years old. Remembering his love for children and his kind, giving nature, they chose to honor him by helping those who need it most—children battling cancer and serious blood disorders.

In 2002, they established Clement’s Kindness Fund for the Children through the Community Foundation of Greenville. The fund supports families across the Upstate by helping with the medical, emotional, social, and financial challenges that come with a child’s diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. It also provides support to the BI-LO Charities Children’s Cancer Center and St. Francis Cancer Care Center (AYA), directly impacting young patients and their families.

With continued support, Clement’s Kindness Fund carries forward his legacy, making a real difference in the lives of children and families facing incredibly difficult journeys.

Our Mission

At Clement’s Kindness, our mission is to support families impacted by pediatric cancer and serious blood disorders by providing meaningful medical, emotional, and financial assistance.

We believe every family deserves care that is personal, compassionate, and timely. Through kindness and community support, we work to ease their burden, bring comfort during difficult moments, and remind them they are not alone.
