Members of the Cancer Survivor Park Alliancecity of GreenvilleClements Kindness Fund for the Children and Kristine M Schaffer Marketing are coming together to host an event in Greenville in honor of International Childhood Cancer Awareness Day on Feb. 15.

Starting at 9 a.m., the organizations will welcome community members and children diagnosed with cancer to the CSP’s Center for Hope & Healing at 52 Cleveland St.

The event will feature speakers and Upstate leaders such as Greenville City Councilman Wil Brasington, who will discuss the importance of International Childhood Cancer Awareness Day in the Upstate. Attendees will also learn about resources offered by South Carolina for individuals impacted by childhood cancer.

“CSPA supports the amazing efforts of those fighting childhood cancer,” said CSPA Executive Director Kay Roper. “We are honored to be part of an international day of awareness that celebrates the families, children and survivors on the journey”

Following the event, attendees may also tour the Clement’s Kindness Children’s Garden in the park.
